Data Collection

Envelope Lite collects no data whatsoever. Specifically:

• No personal information - no name, email, phone number, or account creation required
• No financial data transmitted - all transactions, budgets, and settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite
• No analytics or tracking - no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no crash reporting services
• No advertising - no ad SDKs, no ad networks, no advertiser identifiers
• No network calls - the app makes zero HTTP requests and works entirely offline
• No third-party services - no cloud storage, no sync services, no external APIs
• No device identifiers - the app does not read or store your device ID, advertising ID, or any hardware identifiers

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. This includes:

• Your monthly income settings
• Envelope budget amounts
• Transaction records (amounts, dates, descriptions, categories, tags)
• Notification preferences

This data exists only on your device. If you uninstall the app, the data is deleted.

Permissions

Envelope Lite requests minimal permissions:

• Notifications - to send you optional daily reminders (you can disable this in Settings)
• Exact Alarms (Android) - to schedule notifications at precise times

No other permissions are requested. The app does not access your camera, contacts, location, microphone, storage (beyond its own app directory), or any other device capability.

Children's Privacy

Envelope Lite does not collect any data from anyone, including children. The app contains no age-restricted content and is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Since the app collects no data, changes would only occur if new features are added that require data handling - in which case the policy will be updated before those features ship.
